Kevin Patrick Giblin, Deputy Chief InspectorKevin Patrick Giblin was appointed as Deputy Chief Inspector of the Garda Síochána Inspectorate in May, 2010. Kevin retired from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation in April 2010 after a 35 year career. He served in numerous FBI management and intelligence assignments in the United States and abroad. Following the 11September, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States he oversaw the creation of the FBI’s Terrorist Watch List. Kevin was the first FBI officer posted to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in Brussels, serving as Head of Terrorist Threat Intelligence from 2005-2009. Kevin is an active member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). He was the Executive Secretary of the IACP Committee on Terrorism for 12 years. He is a graduate of St. Francis University and the Defense Intelligence College. Kevin received the U.S. National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal in 2001. Kevin also received an Exceptional Service Award from the IACP in 2004. |
